Storytelling to the electrical trade

Challenge

The challenge was to establish Netatmo’s Smart Security and Heating products in electrical trade retail showrooms in a relatively crowded smart home market place.

It was clear that we needed to create modular solutions to accommodate the varying range of space available in what are relatively small retail environments. We also needed to communicate the brand message in ways which resonated with the trade customer and provide tools to help resale to the consumer.

Solution

Our design team created a modular panel system that was to allow horizontal or vertical placements on to retailers existing shelving system. Each modular panel was designated to one of four products featured in store.

Additional slatwall shelving units were also provided as not all of Netatmo’s packaging was suitable for hanging. Alongside the in-store display we created a trade incentive pack which was delivered to each pro-installer. This included additional training material, vehicle signage, useful tools and work aids.

The end result became the new standard in this retail channel with other brands and retailers using it as a benchmark for their own planned activity.
