Made with Cricut

CHALLENGE

Cricut was well established in the USA but virtually unknown in Europe at time of launch. Horizon were challenged to launch the brand in specialist retail stores in the first instance but ultimately into broader retail. We were asked to create retail displays which gave customers hands on to the Cricut machines, but also communicate what incredible things you can make with them.

The solutions must be modular to accommodate different ranges, in different stores, and accommodate product updates and extensions moving forward.

SOLUTION

Horizon created a visual DNA which focussed on what you can achieve with the cricut eco system…showing a range of ‘made’ examples ranging from a simple greetings card to a more complex fabric project.

Once the hierarchy was created, we dialled the communications and hardware presentation in to modular 1m sections which could be scales up to 6 metres or scales down according to the range on sale and space available. Security was key, so a strap system was developed to ensure that products were safely on display without fear of removal. Product information was then presented alongside each product, providing comparison and material / accessory compatibility. Further inspiration and technical information was presented digitally via QR code and via a more conventional flipchart.

The solutions were provided with planograms to ensure that shoppers understood that each product had its own eco system. Updateability was integral to all elements, particularly graphics and hardware merchandising.
