Challenge

The challenge was to create cost-effective, visually appealing packaging that harmonised with existing range packaging. As with all projects we work on, considering the environment is high on the list with post-purchase recycling critical to see the design. It was essential that customers would be able to see both the toughness and quality of the case

Solution

Our design team created a box which was visually compatible with the current range, with colours complemented by UV varnishing for product highlighting with a matt black background. The box could be hung by euro hook or free standing according to planogram. Some stores decided to spider wrap the boxes to stop product tampering, so we ensured that the carton was stiff enough to retain integrity.

We considered a whole range of box designs, including translucent plastic outers but ultimately the environmental option was selected, with recycled carton chosen.
